About the Artist
Tim Joyner has been a professional artist for more than 10 years. He received a BFA from the University of Montana in 1993 and was a high-school art teacher in Cut Bank, MT for eight years. He works in many different mediums, including pencil, scratchboard, painting (all kinds), glass etching, ceramic, and bronze sculpture.

His work is very diverse, showing his interests in wildlife and the western way of life. His work is shown in a number of galleries in Montana, and Tim exhibits in many art shows, most notably in Great Falls at the CM Russell Art Show, and at the Spokane Art Show in Washington. His largest pieces are on display in Cut Bank, where he was chosen to paint two different murals for their town, one of which is over 100-feet wide, one of the largest in Montana.

Tim lives in Hamilton, MT with his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Avery, and son, Mark. He is a full-time artist and stay-at-home dad.

Awards & Accomplishments
:: The Buffalo Hunt - 9/1/2004
Through 3D sculpture carved into a 60-inch fiberglass buffalo, Tim's entry in the Buffalo Hunt project was auctioned for $16,200, the top-selling item. The piece resides permanently in the CM Russell Museum. For more information, visit Community Projects.

:: Chosen for Grizzly Prowl Fundraiser - 8/1/2004
The Grizzly Scholarship Association chose Tim to be one of 36 artists to custom embellish a 3/4-size replica of a grizzly to raise money for UM Athletic Scholarships. Tim's bear, Griz Iron Greats, is on display in the Adams's Center Hall of Fame.

Tim won "Best of Show for Painting" with his piece titled "Artist Turn'd Critic"

:: Peoples Choice Award - 3/1/1997
Tim won the "People's Choice" award for his piece "The Letter."
